MIPIM 2027 planning readiness: investor invitations and venue
For the 2027 edition (16–19 March, Palais des Festivals) the two things that decide whether a programme works are a confirmed investor invitation list and a venue that suits it. Agree which funds, lenders and occupiers you want in the room, and who internally sends each invitation, before committing to a terrace, yacht or private room. We then check venue capacity, catering rules and any approvals for your preferred nights and quote only against what is genuinely available. Dates are for the 2027 edition; check the organiser's official dates for any revisions before booking.
- Named invitation list with an owner for each senior invite.
- Preferred evenings and a fallback night, since Cannes rooms are contested during the week.
- Venue type decided by guest count, not the other way round.
- Exhibitor rules checked separately if any hospitality sits inside the Palais.
What a MIPIM programme is for
MIPIM is a week of meetings between people who move capital into buildings. The stand or pavilion matters, but most commitments start over a breakfast, a dinner or a quiet reception away from the halls. We design the week around the investors, lenders and occupiers you need to see, then choose formats that make those meetings likely.
- Start from a target list: funds, lenders, occupiers, city delegations.
- Pick two or three formats you can fill, rather than a programme you cannot.
- Keep one guest tracker across stand, dinners and receptions.
- Plan follow-up for the week after Cannes, when diaries reopen.
Formats we produce in Cannes
Each format has a different dependency. We describe them honestly so you can pick what fits your guest list and lead time.
- Private investor dinner, 10–30 guests: needs a private room and senior hosts. Shortest lead time.
- Breakfast briefing or panel: needs a venue near the Palais with early access and AV.
- Evening reception on a terrace, beach venue or yacht: needs venue approval, catering and noise rules confirmed.
- Stand or pavilion hospitality: coffee, catering and hosts working inside the organiser's exhibitor rules.
Approvals and local constraints in Cannes
Cannes during MIPIM is busy and regulated. Beach venues, yachts and private villas each have their own rules on capacity, catering, music and finishing times, and some require municipal or port approvals. Anything inside the Palais follows the organiser's exhibitor manual and approved contractors. We confirm what applies to your chosen venue before design starts and name the local suppliers in the proposal.
- Venue capacity, finishing times and noise conditions.
- Approved or in-house caterers, and whether outside suppliers are allowed.
- Port, municipal or private-estate approvals where the venue needs them.
- Transfers between the Croisette, hotels and venues at peak times.
Scope boundaries
We produce the hospitality and run the guest operation. Buying stand space, sponsorship or delegate passes is done directly with the organiser. Sourcing and approaching new investors on your behalf is outbound appointment setting, not event production; Pearl Lemon Group's appointment-setting team, Pearl Lemon Leads, can quote that separately. We never promise that a named investor will attend. For outreach to prospective dinner guests, explore executive roundtable audience recruitment with Pearl Lemon Leads as a separate scope, subject to your invitation criteria and approvals.
Lead times
Good Cannes venues and accommodation for MIPIM week go early. A dinner programme can often still be arranged a few months out; a reception on a yacht or beach venue, or a branded terrace, needs more time. If you are starting late, we will tell you what is still realistic after checking availability.
MIPIM hospitality formats compared
| Format | Typical guests | Main dependency | Relative lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private investor dinner | 10–30 | Private room and senior hosts | Shorter |
| Breakfast briefing | 20–60 | Early-access venue near the Palais, AV | Moderate |
| Terrace, beach or yacht reception | 50–200 | Venue rules, approvals, catering | Longer |
| Stand hospitality | Footfall plus booked meetings | Organiser exhibitor rules | Set by organiser deadlines |
Budget scope and cost drivers
Every programme is individually scoped and quoted. Cost drivers include Cannes venue hire and exclusivity, catering per cover, transfers, staffing, build and branding, crew accommodation and local taxes. Prices are quoted after local venue, supplier, permissions and tax feasibility. No minimum attendance/venue availability promised.
- Private dinner / hosted briefing
- One investor dinner or breakfast briefing with venue, catering, hosts and guest management. Scope is confirmed after we check Cannes venues and suppliers.
- Multi-format hosted programme
- A reception plus dinners or breakfasts across MIPIM week, with programme design, staffing and one guest tracker.
- Full branded environment
- A branded terrace, yacht or villa presence across the week, with build, branding, approvals and crew.
